Step Three
Pat Coulter (c) 1999
In Step Three you will be making one "Nine Patch" for each Block. The blocks will be constructed using 2-1/2" strips. of your Light Mediums and Mediums.
First you will cut 2 1/2" strips from your Light Medium fabric according to the following chart:
| Small Quilt | 4 strips |
| Medium Quilt | 8 strips |
| Large Quilt | 12 strips |
you will cut 2 1/2" strips from your Medium fabric according to the following chart:
| Small Quilt | 5 strips |
| Medium Quilt | 10 strips |
| Large Quilt | 15 strips |
Assemble One set of strips lengthwise Lm,M,Lm

and Two sets M,Lm,M(med, lt med, med)

Sub Cut Strips into 2 1/2" units to create the three rows of the Nine Patch
Assemble 15 Nine Patch blocks for the Small Quilt, 30 Blocks for the Medium Quilt and 48 Blocks for the Large Quilt
Now, here is another chance to be creative.. You can substitute Any of the many Nine Patches you love more, instead of the vanilla nine patch. Some may want to put their Guild Logo in this. The block finished size should be 6" ( 6.5" with seam allowances).
Remember, if something is not 'clear', I want to know about it.
Have FUN with this !!!
